VASS Lawyers, law firm specialised in public procurement, was awarded Corporate Intl Magazine Global Award 2010 for „Competition Law Firm of the Year”. The winners were selected based on the market surveys carried out by the research department of Corporate Intl Magazine, as well as on the feedback received from Romanian companies in the last 12 months.

The most significant project of the law firm in the area of competition and state aid in 2010 was the implementation of the projects funded by the Norwegian-Romanian Cooperation Programme, in accordance with the European state aid regulations. VASS Lawyers team advised on the compliance with the legal provisions on state aid for regional investments, eligible costs under the regional aid, state aid for agricultural SMEs, de minimis rules or state aids for agriculture. VASS Lawyers also advised an important company in relation to the notification of an economic concentration, for a deal which involved outsourcing services by a public contract.
