Legal 500 once again confirmed in April 2017 that VASS Lawyers is the top law firm in the field of public procurement and public-private partnerships in Romania. Litigation and construction & real estate practices also gain more recognition.
VASS Lawyers has become a constant presence in the last 6 years in Legal500 – the independent legal directory which is internationally recognized for its top rankings concerning the best legal firms across the world. The first nomination came just after three years since the firm was founded and included VASS Lawyers in the top of procurement and public private partnerships performers, being followed by consecutive annual nominations.
2017 is the sixth year in which VASS Lawyers gains recognition in this area marked by legislative instability and with strategic stake in Romania. The recognition of the public procurement practice is based on the clients’ feedback, who described VASS Lawyers as “unquestionably in the top tier of law firms for PPP in Romania. Iulia Vass has built a great team that works like a Swiss watch, handling a range of matters, such as assisting a significant European oil company with a fuel distribution project, and advising an unsuccessful bidder on a €150m road project ” .

The Legal500 nominations reflect the growth that VASS Lawyers recorded in 2016, concerning both the complexity of the projects as well as the team. Thus, in 2016, the main practices for which clients sought support from the team of lawyers were public procurement, litigation, constructions and day-to-day consultancy. The team also incorporated three new trainees and an experienced lawyer.
